We employed Barbara, Molly and Tyler for 3 weeks in the autumn of 2017 for horse logging and 2 days of demonstrations to our visitors. The jobs consisted of timber extraction of Oak thinnings and Beech removal on a PAWs site.

The trees were felled and processed into 3, 6 or 9 metre lengths in readiness for extraction. We were very impressed with Barbara’s skill, speed and efficiency in working the horses and getting the timber to the trackside and stacked safely and neatly. We were more than happy leaving Barbara to it and continuing our work ahead of her felling and processing, knowing that the extraction was in hand and getting done efficiently and to spec. There was minimal disturbance to the site and ground, and it was left in a clean and tidy state on completion. We are looking forward to employing Barbara again this autumn for 4 weeks for logging, and also in the summer for bracken management.
